The QA Hackathons - Welcome
Dates: April 21-24, 2016
Location: Rugby, UK.
The 2016 QA Hackathon will take place in Rugby, with the support of some great sponsors, and the organisation efforts of Neil Bowers, JJ Alen & Barbie.
For further details of the event, including who is attending and the projects planned, please see the website.
Each QA Hackathon event is dedicated to allowing programmers from all around the world, from different disciplines and backgrounds, to collaborate together on mumerous QA and Testing projects. Whether this features design concepts, technical specifications, discussion, coding or testing, the event aims to provide work space for attendees to meet face to face with other project contributors, rather than relying on online communications.
Often projects can take time to gain momentum due to the geographical diversity of the contributors. Or perhaps a project has reached a critical point when several contributors need to discuss the next step. Getting everyone together physically can be immensely beneficial both for the project, and for the larger community, as it provides instant feedback of ideas.
The QA Hackathons aim to encourage those interested in QA and Testing projects to get involved and meet with their fellow contributors to work on moving projects forward.
If you or your company are interested in sponsoring a QA Hackathon event, including enabling many of the contributors to travel and attend the event, helping to provide the venue, or cover food costs during the event, the organisers would be delighted to hear from you. You can either find more details at the website for the current QA Hackathon event, or contact us and we'll put you in touch with the right people. The QA Hackathons are community supported events, with attendees and organisers making each event a valuable part of many project development timelines.
